Module 14: Stabilization and Supporting Families

Training Description

This module aims to put together many of the concepts and principles learned throughout the training thus far. Much of what we have focused on so far has more to do with the very first time we meet with a family when we have the focus of de-escalating initial crisis situations, understanding what led to today’s crisis, assessing immediate risks, safety planning and jointly coming up with a safe resolution of the immediate crisis. 

Learning Objectives

 Participants will:

  • Learn options and potential areas of focus in providing stabilization, support and follow-up care for youth and families receiving MCR services.

  • Understand the ‘system of care’.

  • Learn strategies for goal setting, planning and intervention.

Mode of Delivery

This module will be trained synchronously on Zoom.

Who is required to complete this module?

You are required to complete this module if you are:

  • Team Clinical Director/Supervisor
  • Direct Care Staff

  • MCO Call Center Staff/Magellan
