Module 1: Introduction to Youth Mental Health Crisis Response Training

Training Description

This training module is designed to introduce participants to the Youth Mental Health Crisis Response System Workforce training. It will provide an overview of training expectations and timeframe as well as considerations for participants to keep in mind as they complete this training. 

Furthermore, the training module is designed to provide an introduction to guiding principles of the Louisiana Youth Crisis Response System, a system that aims to center the voices of those with lived experience and is person-centered, recovery-oriented, resolution-focused and strengths-based. 

Learning Objectives

  • Participants willunderstand the training implementation schedule and timeframe.

  • Participants will learn the guiding principles of the crisis response system and be provided with an overview of how they apply to the Louisiana Youth Crisis Response System.

  • Participants will practice reframing their thinking to align with the goals and guiding principles of the crisis response system.

Mode of Delivery

This module is asynchronous to be completed on the participant’s own.

Who is required to complete this module?

You are required to complete this module if you are:

  • Agency Leadership

  • Agency Medical Director

  • Team Clinical Director/Supervisor

  • Direct Care Staff

  • Support Staff

  • MCO Call Center Staff

This module is approximately 50 minutes.
