Module 4: Brain Science and Crisis Response with Youth and Families

Training Description

Module 4 focuses on the brain and brain science. It may sound a bit intimidating, but when it comes right down to it– it is about recognizing where youth “are at” when we meet with them for either the initial meeting or during ongoing MCR services. 

Learning Objectives

 

  • Participants will comprehend healthy brain development.

  • Participants will recognize the effect of trauma on brain development.

  • Participants will understand the role of brain science for youth in crisis.

  • Participants will appreciate the role of resiliency, healing and hope are all possible.

Mode of Delivery

This module will be trained synchronously on Zoom.

 

Who is required to complete this module?

You are required to complete this module if you are:

  • Team Clinical Director/Supervisor

  • Direct Care Staff

  • MCO Call Center Staff/Magellan
