Modules 5A and 5B: Crisis Response Team Triage Approaches
Training Description
The purpose of this training is to equip professionals with an understanding of the new La CRS that adds to what currently exists in Louisiana. We want to break down each of the levels of the new response system and discuss who makes up these teams. We will then discuss what these team do, including how they might interact (collaborate) with the existing system components like law enforcement, emergency departments, etc.
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
Identify individual roles in the crisis response team.
Understand the importance of peer support specialists.
Describe the workflow of the crisis response team.
Understand and apply the basic principles of call and crisis processing, including engagement and triage approaches.
Be introduced to the three Cs of crisis approach.
Understand how initial crisis response is linked to resolution and recovery focused care.
