Sponsored by the Center for Evidence to Practice, this is an opportunity for those considered in applying for EMDR training to assess if this is the right evidence-based program for your practice.

About our Presenters:

Carol Miles MSW, LCSW  is certified by EMDRIA in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and is an EMDRIA-Approved Basic Trainer and Consultant, and the former President. As the former co-coordinator of the EMDR Regional Meetings in Southeast Louisiana, she has helped to bring a higher level of expertise to the region in dealing with trauma. Carol also works with EMDR nationally known advanced trainers to come to Louisiana to present on intense work with anger, dissociation, attachment issues and other mental health concerns to develop the skills of the therapists in our communities in this region.

Viviana Triana is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor in the state of Texas, an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, and an Approved Consultant. Viviana specializes in working with children and families who have experienced complex trauma. She provides consultations and training for clinicians who work with this population. Viviana has been published in professional journals in addition to contributing to the just released book EMDR with Children in the Play Therapy Room: An Integrated Approach. Currently, Viviana serves as the Clinical Director of Youth 180, an organization that provides trauma centered counseling and outpatient substance treatment for youth and their families in North Texas.
